Jarrett Simmons Joins Jacobsen|Daniels Team as Planning Practice Area Director
Jacobsen|Daniels (J|D) is pleased to announce Jarrett W. Simmons as our newest team member. Jarrett joins J|D on May 7, 2017, as a Director in the Planning Practice Area and brings over 20 years of aviation experience working as an airport executive, as a consultant to airports and for the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Most recently, Jarrett served as the Assistant Director Aviation - Asset Planning for the Houston Airport System (HAS), which owns and operates Houston George Bush Intercontinental, Houston William P. Hobby, and Houston Ellington Airports. In this role, he was responsible for managing the Asset Management, Planning, Environmental, CAD/GIS, Capital Improvement Program (CIP), and the Public Art Divisions of HAS. Jarrett also served in an owner representative role overseeing planning and design elements for the $1.5 billion Intercontinental Airport Terminal Redevelopment Program (ITRP).
Before joining the HAS, Jarrett worked for 15 years as an aviation consultant, managing planning assignments at more than 30 airports across North America. These airports include Chicago Midway and O’Hare, Detroit Metro, New York LaGuardia, and John F. Kennedy just to name a few. He has also worked for IATA, a trade organization for more than 240 international airlines.
Jarrett holds a Bachelor Degree from Southern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois.
