Sacramento International Airport Asks Community to Share Memories for 50th Birthday Celebration
Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is gearing up to celebrate its 50th birthday on Oct. 21. Airport terminals are a place for special moments: A mother sending her child off to college, a family welcoming home a soldier from overseas or a grandparent greeting a young grandchild’s embrace. These heartfelt moments occur all day long, every day.
Sacramento International Airport wants to hear about the community’s special moments and memories ahead of this year’s celebration.
Please share your SMF – Stories, Memories, Fun – with the airport by emailing your story and any photos or videos to [email protected], or post your story on social media using #SMF50.
Shared stories will become a part of the collection of memories the airport will share through its social media channels and in a video to help celebrate this milestone.
“Sacramento International Airport is proud to have served Northern California for five decades,” explained Director of Airports John Wheat. “Airports are a place where people build memories, whether it’s taking off on an exciting vacation or greeting loved ones as they arrive for a visit. We want to know our customers’ favorite memories made at SMF over the past 50 years.”
