Punta Gorda Airport Announces New Allegiant Airline Service to Providence

The Punta Gorda Airport announced Allegiant Airlines will offer nonstop service from Providence, Rhode Island to southwest Florida via Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) beginning Sept. 28. 

“There’s no doubt that Southwest Florida residents will enjoy the low fares and access from this new nonstop Rhode Island service,” said Punta Gorda Airport Executive Director James Parish. “And we welcome New England travelers to enjoy our beautiful beaches and year-round sunny and warm weather.”

“Allegiant is excited to announce this new service from our newest city, giving New England a convenient, nonstop option to visit southwest Florida,” said Lukas Johnson, Allegiant senior vice president of commercial. “We look forward to providing our new customers great low fares to the Fort Myers area and continuing to provide economic growth in Punta Gorda.”

The new year-round flights will operate twice weekly and begin on Sept. 28, 2017. With this addition, Allegiant will offer nonstop service from 34 cities to Punta Gorda Airport (PGD).
