IN: Frontier Launches New Indianapolis to Las Vegas Flight
Indianapolis travelers headed to Las Vegas have an additional flight option beginning today. Frontier Airlines launches its inaugural nonstop flight out of the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) to Las Vegas at approximately 2:20 p.m. July 16, leaving out weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays year-round.
In March, Frontier Airlines announced the new flight service to McCarran International Airport. Las Vegas is now among a number of Frontier destinations departing from Indianapolis, including destinations to Denver, Orlando and Fort Myers.
The Frontier flight to Las Vegas provides travelers with another option when heading west, a geographical region the Indianapolis Airport Authority has expanded into over the past year with nonstop flights to Seattle via Alaska Airlines and Austin, Texas via Allegiant Airlines, as well as seasonal service to San Diego via Southwest Airlines. In August and September, the airport will offer increased service to San Francisco with an additional flight via United Airlines and Alaska Airlines.
“Our airline partners have been providing a steady addition of destinations to the western United States over the past few months,” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “That’s exactly what we want to see, because the more options we have for travelers, the more value we can deliver to the Indianapolis and surrounding communities.”
