Frontier Bringing Low Fares to Tulsa

July 18, 2017

Frontier Airlines announced July 18, their plan to bring low fares to Tulsa travelers beginning next spring. The news came as part of a nationwide announcement that includes 21 new destinations for their network. Frontier’s Low Fares Done Right brand provides ultra-low airfares combined with a national network offering over 1,000 total routes by the summer of 2018.

Frontier’s arrival to Tulsa International Airport (TUL) will include nonstop service to Denver (DEN), Orlando (MCO), and San Diego (SAN). Denver ranks as the second most popular destination for Tulsa travelers with over 400 passengers traveling between the two cities each day. Orlando and San Diego are also both top destinations with growing passenger demand.

“Frontier’s announcement aligns with our regional strategy to expand nonstop service options available from Tulsa International,” said Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust Chair Jeff Stava. “Their decision to include Tulsa in their national expansion demonstrates the strength of the Tulsa market and will serve as a catalyst for additional economic activity in our region.”

Tulsa International Airport CEO, Mark VanLoh agrees that Frontier’s interest in Tulsa reflects the region’s growing demand. VanLoh said, “We look forward to welcoming Frontier and the added connectivity that their arrival will provide to our travelers. Frontier’s commitment to first-class service and low fares combined with their expanded network will be an asset boosting the efficiency of our businesses and the quality of life of our area residents.”
