Kara Lentz, PE, CCM, LEED AP, senior program manager and vice president of HNTB Corp., has been named to the Construction Manager Certification Institute Board of Governors. Her three-year term will begin at the Construction Management Association of America’s National Conference & Trade Show Oct. 7, in Washington, D.C.
As a subset of CMAA, CMCI manages the Construction Manager Certification Program. The Board of Governors oversees policies and procedures that influence the qualifications for CM certification, and manages certification decisions for individuals enrolled in the program.
“As a construction manager, there is no greater honor than being equipped to help guide the standard of excellence for our profession,” Lentz said. “The Board of Governors is committed to empowering the next generation of construction managers with the most comprehensive education and preparation available in the industry and I am excited to help the organization meet its goals.”
Lentz is based in HNTB’s Dallas office, and has 17 years of experience in program, project and construction management. She has significant experience in the aviation infrastructure market sector, having managed major aviation programs that include gate concourses, airport train stations and airside apron improvements.
