Tina Millan, senior vice president and director of aviation services for WSP USA, will speak at the 21st annual meeting of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation to be held on Sept. 14-16, in Chicago.
The Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the avoidance and resolution of disputes worldwide using the Dispute Resolution Board (DRB) method.
Millan’s presentation on “How to Write a More Effective DAP Opinion from the End User’s Position,” will take place on Sept. 15 at 1:15 p.m. at the Westin Chicago River North Hotel at 320 North Dearborn Street. She will relate the lessons learned from her tenure as director of program controls for Miami-Dade Aviation Department and other programs and how they can be applied to assist clients with effective dispute resolutions strategies.
“More contract disputes are being resolved through alternate means, including the DRB method,” said Millan. “This presentation will help consultants understand what their clients need from the process in order to reach a successful conclusion.”
Millan oversees WSP USA’s aviation services practice which provides a full range of planning, program management, design, and construction management services for aviation, including extensive experience in road and rail access to airports. Specialized services include strategic consulting, security system planning and design, environmental studies, access and transit studies, sustainability consulting, and financial and economic analysis. Active in aviation for more than 70 years, WSP is currently at work on aviation project at airports in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Chicago and Atlanta.
