Experts from WSP USA will deliver presentations on infrastructure development through public-private partnerships (P3) at The P3 Federal Conference being held in Washington, D.C. on Nov. 28-30. WSP is also a diamond sponsor of the event.
Attendees at the conference will deepen their understanding of the key principles behind P3s and other alternative delivery methods, and the role they can play in delivering essential transportation, health, defense, social and water infrastructure projects.
WSP addresses challenges in the public sector through innovative planning and design, extensive knowledge of federal permitting processes, and a unique understanding of alternative delivery methods.
John Porcari, WSP USA’s president of advisory services and former secretary of the Maryland Department of Transportation, and current Maryland Secretary of Transportation Pete Rahn will deliver the keynote address on Wednesday, November 29, 10:15 – 11:15 a.m. They will discuss Maryland’s recently announced $9 billion Traffic Relief Plan, the largest highway P3 in North America, which will reduce congestion for millions of drivers on three major state highways.
“With our infrastructure in a state of disrepair and government coffers, federal and state, facing constant shortfalls, P3s offer the opportunity to get projects funded and built,” Porcari noted.
