October Passenger Traffic Hits New High at Denver International Airport
Passenger traffic at Denver International Airport set another record with the busiest October in Denver’s history.
A total of 5,282,947 passengers flew through DEN in October, 1.1 percent more than October 2016 and the highest number ever for passengers during that month.
“October was another record-setting month for Denver International Airport as the airlines continue to see higher load factors and our international traffic increased 10 percent compared to the same time last year,” airport CEO Kim Day said. “International passenger traffic increased in part due to the recent start of nonstop service from Denver to London-Gatwick via Norwegian. We look forward to continuing that momentum into the final months of 2017.”
Mail, freight and express cargo operations increased 5.7 percent in October, with 50,548,703 pounds, compared to 47,833,686 pounds of cargo in October 2016.
