Paradies Lagardère Announces New Dining Concept to Satisfy Hungry Travelers in Austin
Paradies Lagardère was awarded a food and beverage concept at Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Salvation Pizza has served delicious, New Haven, Connecticut-style pizza, salads and appetizers to Austin locals for more than a decade.
After careful consideration of the needs of AUS and its travelers, Paradies Lagardère created a winning bid that not only addresses the airport’s specific objectives and goals, but also creates a high-quality dining experience for travelers.
While offering an authentic “taste” of Austin, Paradies Lagardère has opened dining and retail concepts in AUS recently, including Ruta Maya Coffee, Thundercloud Subs and Austin Article. In 2018, the airport will see new Paradies Lagardère concepts Berry Austin, Hut’s Hamburgers and Barton Springs.
“Salvation Pizza has been a local favorite in Austin for 10 years. We’re excited to bring this local favorite into the airport,” said Bill Casey, senior vice president, Food and Beverage, Paradies Lagardère. “Paradies Lagardère partners with popular brands to entice travelers and bring the familiar quality, taste and atmosphere of a favorite local restaurant into an airport.”
Salvation Pizza believes in community, and giving friends and family a place to gather and make memories. With three locations in Austin, Texas, Salvation Pizza has served its award-winning pizza for more than 10 years. Introduced by Italian shipbuilders in Connecticut, New Haven-style pizza is considered by some to be the original American pizza, with its thin, hand-pounded crust, and distinctive snap and crunch. Salvation Pizza makes everything from scratch, with only the freshest ingredients. And the local institution has been named the best pizza in the city by Thrillist, Eater Austin, Austin-American Statesman, and Austin Monthly.
