American Airlines Adds Service from Chicago O'Hare to a Dozen Destinations
American Airlines on Jan. 18. announced its 2018 summer network which includes the launch of service to 12 destinations from Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD), including international flights to Venice (VCE), Vancouver (YVR) and Calgary (YYC), and newly announced service to several domestic destinations.
American also announced it will launch a new shuttle between ORD and New York LaGuardia (LGA) on April 4, 2018 that will offer business travelers hourly flights between the two cities with unique travel benefits such as dedicated gates, shortened check-in times and complimentary beer and wine in the main cabin.
"This new service by American Airlines further expands Chicago O'Hare's connectivity to markets throughout the U.S. and around the world," said Ginger S. Evans, Commissioner, Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA). "O'Hare is the best connected airport in the country thanks to the strong commitment of our airline partners to grow service to and from Chicago."
American Airlines' announcement today further enhances O'Hare's robust service offerings for travelers. O'Hare was named the best connected U.S. airport in the nation for 2017, according to OAG, the authority on air service information around the globe. In addition to strong connectivity, O'Hare has also made marked improvements for on-time flights. O'Hare was recently ranked among the top 20 mega airports in the world for on-time performance according OAG with an on-time percentage just shy of 80 percent in 2017.
