Dreams Take Flight in New ‘Winter Sports USA’ Exhibit at Denver International Airport

Feb. 15, 2018

A new exhibition featuring artifacts and memorabilia that span several decades of winter sports world competition is now on display at Denver International Airport (DEN) in the latest ‘Winter Sports USA’ exhibit.

The DEN Arts Program partnered with organizations that are directly and indirectly affiliated with the 2018 Winter Games to celebrate community and worldliness over the next few months.

The exhibit – on display through April – presents a unique opportunity for travelers to see modern, rare and vintage winter sports items within Ansbacher Hall in the Jeppesen Terminal, located on Level 6 before the bridge security checkpoint. Display cases feature items such as torches, competitive race suits, equipment and other various apparel, Denver’s 1976 Winter Games bid, unique books, costumes and more. The exhibit is educational, inspiring, timely and energizing as it explores how “Dreams Take Flight” – DEN’s theme as the airport celebrates this year’s winter games – for so many athletes in Colorado and beyond.

Participating exhibitors include: Além International Management, Inc.; Colorado Snowsports Museum & Hall of Fame; Spyder; U.S.A. Nordic Sport; U.S.A. Bobsled/Skeleton; U.S. Figure Skating; and U.S. Speedskating.
