Bradley International Airport Marks Five Years of Consecutive Passenger Growth

The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) announced that Bradley International Airport has achieved five years of year-over-year passenger growth.

Under CAA’s management, since 2013, the airport has experienced a continuous upward trend in passenger traffic.

The historic passenger ridership figures break down as follows:

  • 2013 – 5,420,853 passengers (+ 1.4 percent)
  • 2014 – 5,875,801 passengers (+ 8.4 percent)
  • 2015 – 5,933,808 passengers (+ 1.0 percent)
  • 2016 – 6,060,943 passengers (+ 2.1 percent)
  • 2017 – 6,436,407 passengers (+ 6.2 percent)

In total, between 2013 and 2017, Bradley International Airport served more than 25 million passengers.

“As we continue to aggressively pursue the expansion of Bradley International Airport’s route network, we’re pleased to see the positive trend in our passenger ridership,” CAA Board Chairman Charles R. Gray said. “The CAA will continue to prioritize efforts that will strengthen Bradley’s high standing in the industry and role as an economic driver for the region.”
