Delaware North Unveils Mobile Harvest & Grounds at Fort Lauderdale Airport

Feb. 23, 2018

Delaware North has rolled out a mobile version of its Harvest & Grounds coffee concept at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The mobile Harvest & Grounds unit, which was designed by leading electric vehicle fabricator TukFab, will bring a variety of specialty coffees, espresso and assorted baked goods to travelers at convenient locations around the terminal.

“We are always looking for ways to make the airport experience easier and more convenient for travelers,” said Kevin Kelly, president of Delaware North’s travel division. “Many fliers prefer to stay close to their gate while waiting for a flight, so we wanted a way to bring great coffee to those travelers instead of them having to leave the gate to come find us.”

The custom-built mobile unit was designed and manufactured in collaboration with Tuk Fab and eTuk USA, the only street-legal tuk tuk in the United States, as an efficient vehicle for airport use with self-contained power and water sources, and is 100 percent electric powered. The mobile Harvest & Grounds joins the existing four stationary Harvest & Grounds locations already at FLL.

Harvest & Grounds is Delaware North’s proprietary Euro-American coffee and bakery concept that serves freshly-prepared coffee drinks and espresso, including specialty brews such as the cold-brewed iced coffee, which is prepared with Harvest & Grounds’ unique Nitro Coffee Tap system. Delaware North has opened more than ten Harvest & Grounds locations at airports across the country.
