Sacramento Airport Celebrates Launch of Southwest Service to Austin, St. Louis

Southwest is set to launch daily nonstop service to Austin and St. Louis on April 8, and Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is joining with the airline to make it a festive occasion.

Food, decorations, music, give-a-ways and a custom cake by local fav the Freeport Bakery will greet passengers. The flights leave 20 minutes of each other in Terminal B. The 3 hour and 20 minute flight to Austin departs at 9:30 a.m. followed by the 3 hour and 40 minute flight to St. Louis at 9:50 a.m.

The weekday schedule is earlier, with Austin departing at 6:30 a.m. and St. Louis at 8:50 a.m.
