Myrtle Beach Service Begins at Albany International Airport
Elite Airways on April 4, began non-stop flights between Albany International Airport and Myrtle Beach.
Albany flights will operate on Thursday & Sunday. Elite Airways operates a fleet of Bombardier CRJ-200 and CRJ-700 jet airliners. Elite Airways passengers receive free onboard snacks and beverages, first checked bag up to 50lbs (or one oversized golf bag) and no ticketing change fees. Elite Airways is also pet friendly.
“Myrtle Beach is an especially popular vacation destination for Capital Region families and golfers. Elite Airways’ short, non-stop flights to Myrtle Beach will eliminate the lengthy 12-hour drive and enable our travelers to spend an extra day at the beach or golf course,” said Rev. Kenneth Doyle, chairman of the Albany County Airport Authority.
The beginning of Myrtle Beach service underscores Elite Airways’ continued growth and success with its Northeast/Southeast leisure routes and marks an expanded presence in Myrtle Beach — a popular vacation destination that attracts millions each year for its more than 60 miles of sandy beaches, world-class entertainment, shops, restaurants, family-friendly attractions and nearly 80 golf courses.
“Elite Airways is pleased to start service in Albany this spring as we believe in the market and appreciate the support we’ve received from New York area passengers, as well as county and airport officials,” said John Pearsall, president of Elite Airways. “We look forward to a successful start of service and for opportunities to expand service at Albany in the future.”
