Frontier Airlines to Offer Flights to Las Vegas, Denver from SMF
Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines (F9) has announced it is returning to Sacramento International Airport (SMF) with new nonstop flights to Denver and Las Vegas.
The new schedule offers flights to Denver four times a week beginning Aug. 1 and thrice-weekly flights to Las Vegas beginning Aug. 12. Frontier will operate out of Terminal B.
Frontier Airlines offered service to Denver from 2002 until 2013.
“We are proud to return to Sacramento,” said Will Evans, senior sales manager for Frontier Airlines. “With our new flights to Denver and Las Vegas we are making air travel more accessible and affordable for travelers to and from Sacramento and the surrounding area. We look forward to serving this community with our unique brand of Low Fares Done Right.”
“We are pleased to welcome Frontier Airlines back to Sacramento International Airport following a 5-year absence,” said Mark Haneke, manager of air service development and marketing at Sacramento International Airport. “During this time, the airport has focused on reducing the cost of doing business for our airline partners, and Frontier has focused on transforming into an ultra-low cost airline.”
“We look forward to Frontier remaining a resident carrier at SMF long into the future,” Haneke added.
Both cities are popular business and leisure destinations that rank in the top 10 cities served by Sacramento International Airport.
