Saskatoon Airport Authority Announces New Chair, Vice Chair & Board Member
On May 2,, Saskatoon Airport Authority welcomes James Kerby as the new chair of the board of directors, along with Merin Coutts as the new vice-chair. Saskatoon Airport Authority also announced the nomination of Brian Heinrichs to its board of sirectors.
The board also announced the retirement of a long-standing board member, Orlo Drewitz. Drewitz has served on the Board since 2009.
“Skyxe Saskatoon Airport has greatly benefited from Orlo’s commitment to governance and financial oversight”, expressed Stephen Maybury, president & CEO of Skyxe Saskatoon Airport. “He has dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to our Board over the years and provided highly valued leadership and expertise.”
Saskatoon Airport Authority also announced the nomination of Brian Heinrichs to its board of directors. “We are pleased to welcome Brian to our Board”, states James Kerby, incoming board chair. “The road ahead presents many opportunities to advance our vision of becoming Canada’s most valued airport experience,” Kerby continues. “But with opportunity comes challenges that will require continued, diligent corporate governance from our entire Board to successfully guide and direct our Airport’s future.”
Another strong year of passenger traffic was reported at the Saskatoon Airport Authority Annual Public Meeting, with 1,463,410 people travelling through the Airport in 2017. That represents an average five-year growth rate of 2.1 percent.
