Walker Appointed to Naples Airport Authority Noise Compatibility Committee
Geri Walker, former president of Baking Technology Systems, has been appointed to the Naples Airport Authority Noise Compatibility Committee to represent the geographic area northwest of the airport.
A Georgia native, former sales engineer and bakery equipment manufacturing entrepreneur, Walker became a full-time Naples resident in 2010. After earning his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech, he served in the National Guard as an aircraft mechanic. For more than 20 years, he was president and director of sales of Baking Technology Systems and traveled worldwide selling and installing equipment. Walker currently serves as president of The Moorings Country Club, and also is a member of the Moorings Property Owners Association.
The Noise Compatibility Committee helps monitor the impact of aircraft noise and makes recommendations about noise-mitigation procedures for consideration by the Airport Authority Board of Commissioners.
In addition to Walker, the committee includes Chair Bruce Byerly, Vice Chair John Mastrocinque, Cliff Holland, Ernest Linneman, Justin Lobb, Gary Price, Gary Revall, and Russell Tuff.
