Elite Airways to Launch Service at Rochester International Airport
Elite Airways announced May 31, the launch of air service at the Rochester International Airport (RST). Beginning July 19, Elite Airways will operate nonstop flights to two new destinations from RST: Phoenix, Arizona (Phoenix Sky Harbor-PHX) and St. Augustine, Florida (Northeast Florida Regional Airport-UST).
“Elite Airways is pleased to announce service at Rochester International Airport with two new routes — St. Augustine and Phoenix — that offer convenient nonstop travel between three Mayo Clinic campus locations, plus the flexibility for weekend or week-long travel,” said John Pearsall, president of Elite Airways. “We’d like to thank the airport and community leaders in Rochester for their support and look forward to a successful start of service in July.”
“Today’s exciting announcement is good news for Mayo Clinic patients, staff and the Rochester community as a whole. These nonstop flights will make air travel between Rochester and the clinic’s two others campuses in Arizona and Florida easier, quicker and more convenient. We are pleased Elite Airways is offering this new service that will benefit our patients and staff,” said Steven McNeill, chief planning officer for Mayo Clinic and president of the Rochester Airport Company Board.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Elite Airways to Rochester” said John Reed, RST’s executive director. “These two new nonstop destinations are very important markets for business travelers in our region. St. Augustine and Phoenix are also attractive, nonstop leisure opportunities for our travelers. With two new nonstop destinations from RST, there are even more reasons to ‘Fly Local’. We are appreciative of these new offerings Elite will provide.”
