ViaAir Announces Austin - Baton Rouge Nonstop from South Terminal

ViaAir announced new nonstop service between the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport’s (AUS) South Terminal and the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR), in Baton Rouge, Louisiana beginning Sept. 13.

“The Hill Country meets the bayou in this capital to capital connection,” said Jeff Pearse, CEO of LoneStar Holdings, the operator of the South Terminal at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. “Thanks to ViaAir, the numerous LSU Tiger and Southern Jaguar fans in Central Texas now have a quick flight to Baton Rouge, rather than a day-long drive.”

The flight will operate three days a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays between Austin and Baton Rouge. The ViaAir nonstop service from AUS to BTR will depart Austin’s South Terminal at 11:45 a.m. and arrive in Baton Rouge at 1:03 p.m. Flights will depart Baton Rouge at 1:38 p.m. and arrive at Austin’s South Terminal at 3:08 p.m. All times are local.
