Dallas City Council approved major changes to Dallas Love Field’s on-site airport parking options Oct. 24.
Love Field will open its new Parking Garage C, on Nov. 1 at noon. It is connected to the terminal via a skybridge on the west side. Love Field is eliminating the Love Connection, its remote parking lot that offered a discounted rate of $6 per day until Parking Garage C opened.
Love Field added 5,000 new spaces in Garage C for a total garage space of 12,000. Also, the airport is reducing rates in its current garages and introducing multiple pricing options for Garage C. All changes to on-airport parking rates will go into effect on Nov. 1 at noon.
Garage A cost will be reduced $2 per day to $15. Covered parking in Garage B will cost $9 and uncovered roof parking will cost $7 per day, both of which are currently $13 per day.
Standard covered parking in Garage C is $15, uncovered roof parking is $13 and premium reserved parking is $25. Valet is still available and will be $26 a day.
“We have seen our parking garages attain or approach capacity, especially during the holiday travel season,” said Mark Duebner, Department of Aviation Director. “We are adding spaces and lowering prices. We want our customers to know we have the parking space available to accommodate them, and we encourage them to drive themselves to the airport.”
Overall, Love Field is discounting prices on 7,000 current spaces and adding 3,500 new spaces at $15 or less. The pricing structure makes Love Field’s garages the lowest-priced terminal parking garages of Texas airports.
The new high-tech Garage C features a parking access revenue control system integrated with NTTA TollTags, license plate recognition and a pay-by-foot kiosk in the terminal. The garage also has speed ramps connecting customers directly to their level of choice and wayfinding to help customers better find open spaces and receive real-time garage level counts.
