Oct. 31, 2018

This year HMSHost Foundation’s Invitational Golf Classic celebrated the organization’s commitment to end poverty in communities throughout North America. The event raised an estimated $250,000 to be used by HMSHost Foundation in its mission to fight poverty and strengthen communities.

“This event would not be possible without the efforts and contributions of our exceptional family of HMSHost partners,” said HMSHost President and CEO Steve Johnson. “I’d like to thank our sponsors AB InBev, Boston Beer Company, and Proximo Spirits and all of our participants for helping us exceed fundraising expectations. We are grateful for this opportunity to bring our industry together to give back to the community and help make a positive impact.”

Since it was established, HMSHost Foundation has built a coast-to-coast network of partners around its mission to fight poverty.  HMSHost Foundation has supported the work of over 55 mission-aligned charitable organizations across North America.

“HMSHost Foundation’s 2018 tournament was a huge success and is truly indicative of the drive we all have to continue doing the work necessary in the fight against poverty,” said HMSHost Foundation President Paul Mamalian. “We are proud to support so many great charitable organizations in the communities where HMSHost operates and are thrilled about directing the funds contributed by our wonderful partners to spur real action in even more communities throughout North America.”

Among these exceptional organizations, Orlando Union Rescue Mission and Children of Restaurant Employees (CORE) were each presented grants of $15,000 at the event.
