American Airlines Grows Again at Flint Bishop Airport Adding Another Flight and Larger Jets to Chicago-O’Hare
“These are exciting times at Bishop International Airport,” stated Airport Director, Craig Williams. “Today, American Airlines begins flying an additional jet per day to Chicago O’Hare. This is a 25 percent increase in frequency between Flint and their very popular hub. Additionally, half of the flights will offer our passengers the opportunity to upgrade to a first class cabin.”
As part of the capacity and service increases, American has retimed their current 1:11 pm departure to leave Flint at 11:13 am and added a prime afternoon slot of 3:15 pm, which will arrive in Chicago at 3:33 pm. This omni-bank arrival time easily connects Flint passengers across the United States and around the globe to popular destinations like Hong Kong; Mexico City; New York-La Guardia; Seattle; Las Vegas; Washington-National; Denver; Los Angeles and Boston.

The new Charlotte flights connect well to popular domestic destinations like Asheville; Boston; Bangor; Baltimore; Memphis; Newark; Philadelphia and Savannah, along with international hot spots like Aruba; Barcelona; Dublin; Madrid, Montego Bay, and the new flight to Munich.
The airline plans to operate more than 700 daily flights out of Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) by the end of this year.
