September passenger traffic at Oakland International Airport (OAK) increased 2.3% from what was reported for August. In fact, the airport saw 7,166 more passengers than it did in August.
“While a local Shelter-In-Place Order is still in effect, traffic is once again building,” said Bryant L. Francis, Port of Oakland director of aviation. “Typically, September traffic is less than August, which is normally the peak month of summer travel. But we saw a rare increase in passengers from August to September and we hope the trend continues as we progress into the fall.”
