Saskatoon Airport Receives Global Health Accreditation
Skyxe Saskatoon Airport (Skyxe) was recognized by Airports Council International (ACI) for attaining the ACI Airport Health Accreditation Program.
The ACI Airport Health Accreditation program provides airports around the world with an assessment of how aligned their health measures are with the ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery guidelines and ICAO Council Aviation Restart Task Force recommendations along with industry best practices.
Areas of focus for the Program include cleaning and disinfection, physical distancing (where possible), staff protection, physical layout, passenger communications and passenger facilities.
“We are committed to our community,” says Andrew Leeming, vice president of operational excellence at Skyxe Saskatoon Airport. “Standardizing our health and safety protocols to align with airports around the world will help bring consistency to traveler expectations.”
“Our guests’ experience is important to Skyxe, now more than ever,” says Stephen Maybury, president and CEO at Skyxe Saskatoon Airport. “As we continue our recovery efforts, focusing on enhancing traveler confidence and reassuring the public that we are prioritizing health and safety throughout the airport is essential.”
