Avports Congratulates The Port Authority of NY/NJ on ACI Airport Health Accreditation
Airports Council International (ACI) awarded the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey airports its Airport Health Accreditation, including New York Stewart International Airport and Teterboro Airport. Avports — the country’s most experienced airport operator and management company — co-operates both aviation facilities. Teterboro Airport is also the first general/corporate aviation airport in the World to reach this accreditation.
The ACI Airport Health Accreditation demonstrates to passengers, staff, regulators, and governments that airport facilities are prioritizing health and safety in a measurable, established manner. It also allows airports to validate their own sanitation protocols throughout their facilities, while reassuring the travelling public using the airport that the facilities meet professional measures for safety and hygiene.
“The Avports family congratulates the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on achieving the ACI Airport Health Accreditation at New York Stewart International Airport and Teterboro Airport. Avports is proud of our management and operations teams for implementing the Avports SAFE HANDS program alongside the Port Authority’s COVID prevention protocols, providing a safe and secure environment for everyone’s travels as we head into the holiday season,” said Jorge Roberts, CEO of Avports.
“Teterboro Airport is honored to be the first general/corporate aviation airport in the world to achieve the ACI Health Accreditation,” said Roberts. “We are committed to being one of the safest private airports, especially as corporate and private aviation has taken off in this global pandemic.”
