New Flights, Return of Travelers Leads to Busier Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority
Busy travel days are back at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) with a record number of destinations that will lead to busy parking lots and longer lines in ticketing and the security checkpoint.
It is recommended that travelers arrive early or consider obtaining a ride to RNO due to limited parking capacity. If you are parking a car at RNO, allow extra travel time to follow the signs for over-flow parking. Expect delays going through the TSA screening process and at some concessions. Travelers should arrive 2 hours to 90 minutes before their scheduled flight.
Pent up travel demand from the pandemic, and a very strong airport recovery, means a busier airport. In the long term, the airport is analyzing additional parking areas, an expanded ticket lobby and new concourses as our airport and region continue to grow.
