The County of Sacramento, Department of Airports Announces Deputy Director for Airport Finance & Administration
Christopher Wimsatt has been selected as the deputy director for airport finance & administration for the county of Sacramento Department of Airports. In this position, Wimsatt will play a pivotal role in the airport’s leadership team by providing sound fiscal management to ensure operational efficiency, maintaining the integrity of financial information, and facilitating the utilization of key financial measures in department wide decision making. He will begin his new position on Aug. 2.
Most recently, Wimsatt held the position of division manager, airport finance & administration for the city of Dayton’s Department of Aviation in Dayton, Ohio. While there, he was responsible for operating and capital financial planning for their international and general aviation airports with $30-plus million capital and operating budget. Previously, he was a management analyst for the office of Management and budget where he led a budget development team in charge of $680-plus million annual city all-funds budget. Wimsatt also brings experience from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC, Westminster Financial Services, and the Ohio Senate.

Wimsatt earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Ohio University and his master’s degree in Business Administration from Western Governors University.
