City of Livermore, California, Announces Airport Manager
The City of Livermore, California, has named Sean Moran, C.M., airport manager of the Livermore Municipal Airport (LVK). Moran has been serving as interim airport manager since 2017 and officially began his new position on August 30, 2021.
As airport manager, Moran is responsible for the administration of all daily airfield activity. He manages 10 full-time staff and an annual operating budget of $3.2 million. Previously, Moran was the airport operations supervisor, manager-on-duty for the Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport. He has also worked for Hayward Executive Airport and Ventura County Department of Airports.
“Having been employed at the Livermore Airport for the last 3 and a half years, I understand and appreciate the vibrant sense of community that exists at our facility and the important role our airport plays serving the regional aviation needs,” said Moran. “As the airport manager, I am excited to continue to promote the mission and value that the Livermore Airport represents to the Tri-Valley and surrounding region.”
Moran earned his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management from California State University. He is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and is Chair of the AAAE Young Professionals Committee. Moran is also very involved with the Southwest Chapter of AAAE.
