Gulf Shores Airport Authority Announces Selection of VINCI Airports

Chairman Vic Roberts of the Gulf Shores Airport Authority announced the selection of the VINCI Airports/TBI Airport Management Team as the preferred partner for the development and operation of the new air terminal for Gulf Shores International Airport. The Authority received four responses to a recent request for qualifications “all of which were outstanding” according to Scott Fuller, airport manager.

The authority has begun negotiations with VINCI Airports/TBI on a phased approach which will involve the provision of interim terminal facilities in addition to the permanent terminal to accommodate expected startup of airline operations as soon as this summer.
