Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust Appoints Paul Myers as Executive Vice President and COO
The Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust (TAIT) has named Paul Myers as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In this role, Myers will be responsible for leading the daily operations of TAIT, including airport operations, customer experience, human resources, and information technology for Tulsa International Airport and Tulsa Riverside Airport.
Bringing more than 15 years of leadership experience in aviation management, Myers most recently was the vice president, Safety and Security for Omni Air International, an international Part 121 air carrier operating Boeing 767 and Boeing 777 aircraft. In this position, he served on the Executive Leadership Team and led the organization's safety and security team of approximately 1,100 stakeholders, overseeing strategy, compliance and technology advancement.
While in college, Myers worked as an intern with Tulsa Airports’ current chief executive officer, Alexis Higgins. That opportunity was a launching point for Myer’s career, and he is excited to have the opportunity to join the airport team again in a leadership role.
“I'm thrilled to join the Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust leadership team,” said Myers. “As a lifelong Oklahoman, I've seen firsthand how Tulsa International Airport and Tulsa Riverside Airport make a positive economic impact on surrounding communities. I am excited to use my experience in aviation leadership to serve the airport's team members, customers, and the citizens of Northeastern Oklahoma to provide a safe, efficient, self-supporting airport system.”
Myers earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Aviation Management from Oklahoma State University. He also has a private pilot’s license.
