Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority Appoints Zachary Shaw as Director of Maintenance
The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority has named Zachary Shaw as director of maintenance. In this role, he will direct and oversee the maintenance function for Memphis International Airport (MEM), and General DeWitt Spain, and Charles W. Baker airports. He is also responsible for upkeep, repair and maintenance of structures and infrastructure of authority-owned properties, landside, airside, and terminals as well as utilities, vehicles, pavement, roadways, and grounds. He began his position on June 18, 2022.
Mr. Shaw has worked for the Authority for more than 10 years, managing and leading planning, design and construction projects. Most recently he was the manager of planning where he managed and led components of the ongoing Airport Master Plan project, prepared and updated the Capital Improvement Program, managed the airfield Pavement Management Program, and prepared and coordinated airspace case studies to the FAA for construction and maintenance projects. He has also worked for Carlson Consulting Engineers, Inc.

I look forward to further improving MEM, as well as the customer experience, as I embark on this new journey.”
Mr. Shaw earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Herff College of Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives.
