SLC International Appoints Director of Airport Design and Construction Management
The Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) has appointed Melyssa Trnavskis as the director of airport design and construction management. She replaces Director of Engineering, Kevin Robins who recently retired.
Trnavskis joins the SLCDA from T-O Engineers where she served as an aviation project manager. Prior to that, Trnavskis worked for the Calgary Airport Authority as director of engineering as well as project manager for airfield development. She has also worked in various engineering and planning roles for CH2M Hill and Isbill Associates.
In the position with SLCDA, Trnavskis will be responsible for the successful implementation of the capital improvement program for Salt Lake City International Airport, South Valley Regional Airport and Tooele Valley Airport.
Trnavskis is a graduate of the University of Central Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in aviation business administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Science Degree in civil engineering from the University of California.
