The City of Boise Department of Aviation Appoints Operations Manager and Security Manager
The City of Boise Department of Aviation has named Jodi Spencer, C.M., as Operations Manager for the Boise Airport (BOI). Ms. Spencer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with TSA regulations, 49 CFR Parts 1540 and 1542 and all TSA directives. She will begin her new position in mid-October 2022.
Ms. Spencer brings more than 15 years of management and operations experience in the aviation and fire industry. Ms. Spencer currently works for The City of Boise Department of Aviation as Operations Specialist II. Previously, she was the Operations Manager for ABM Parking at BOI and has also worked for Fire Systems West as Assistant Fire Inspections Manager.
“Boise Airport is a fantastic place to work, and I am honored and excited to be placed in this role during our continued growth,” said Ms. Spencer. “I look forward to maintaining and creating new relationships with tenants, coworkers, and passengers.”
Ms. Spencer earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University. She is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives.
The City of Boise Department of Aviation Appoints Michael Crane, C.M., as Operations Manager
The City of Boise Department of Aviation has named Michael Crane, C.M., as Operations Manager for the Boise Airport (BOI). Mr. Crane will handle all airport operations related duties specific to 14 CFR Part 139. He began his new position on August 29, 2022.
Mr. Crane brings a strong background in airside operations, terminal operations, communication center operations, security operations, FAA and TSA regulatory compliance, and emergency response. Most recently, he was Manager, Operations for Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority. He has also worked for Fresno Yosemite International Airport.
“It is an exciting time to join the Boise Airport team as Airport Operations Manager,” said Mr. Crane. “I am looking forward to coming aboard during the upgrade projects at BOI and continuing the growth at the airport. I am excited to become part of the team and contribute to the airport's success.”
Mr. Crane earned his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives. Mr. Crane is also an Airport Certified Employee in Operations. #
