Hartsfield-Jackson Announces Updates to Concessions Redesign Program

July 19, 2023

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is continuing to improve efficiencies and the customer experience by providing a substantial refresh to the Airport’s concessions program. ATL Skypointe Reimagined is a multiphased, multiyear program that will provide over 300,000 square feet of new food, beverage, retail, and service offerings throughout ATL. This transformation will provide customers with an array of culinary and retail options and expand opportunities for businesses interested in working at the world’s busiest airport.

“We are excited to see progression with our robust concessions project, ATL Skypointe Reimagined,” said Airport General Manager Balram “B” Bheodari. “As we revitalize our concessions program, our goal is to elevate the passenger journey and leave a lasting impression of ATL as the gateway, not only to the world, but to remarkable experiences.”

“Our primary goal is to ensure fairness and transparency in the procurement process,” said City of Atlanta Chief Procurement Officer Jaideep Majumdar. “Through an open, fair, and competitive process, we welcome new opportunities to partner with the supplier community as we cultivate a vibrant marketplace that offers a selection of culinary and retail options for ATL travelers.”

ATL Skypointe Reimagined is currently in the final stages of the Phase II solicitation, which consists of 12 locations divided into two packages, totaling approximately 20,200 square feet across concourses B, C, E, and F. Award decisions are anticipated in the coming days. Phase III is comprised of four packages totaling 45,000 square feet and will be open for competitive proposals this fall. Phase IV is comprised of six packages totaling 40,000 square feet and will be released thereafter.

To prepare for the release of Phases III and IV, the Airport will host ATL Airport Concessions Outreach on Thursday, August 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Georgia International Convention Center. Prospective business operators will receive an overview of the upcoming phases and hear briefings from the Department of Procurement, Office of Contract Compliance, and the Office of Enterprise Risk Management.
