Norfolk Airport Authority Welcomes New General Counsel
The Norfolk Airport Authority has welcomed Mark A. Trank to a new position as senior vice president and general counsel. The airport general counsel is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction as it relates to Norfolk Airport Authority legal functions and services. This position serves as a member of the executive management team, reporting to the president & chief executive officer and providing legal support and advice to the authority board and staff.
Trank arrives from his prior position as assistant port authority attorney, Lee County Port Authority, Fort Myers, Florida, where he handled all legal matters for Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field Airport, a general aviation airport. He has over 30 years of legal experience representing airports, local government and other public entities, and private clients. Trank attended and graduated with a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. degree in American History & Philosophy from Yale University.
Mark Perryman, Norfolk Airport Authority president and chief executive officer, states, “Mark will be a valuable addition to the Airport Authority as we grow. We have significant expansion plans over the next few years and his legal oversight will help greatly to streamline the processes.”
