Santa Barbara Airport’s Angi Daus Elected to SWAAAE Board of Directors
Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) is proud to announce that Angi Daus, Airport Marketing Supervisor, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (SWAAAE). SWAAAE is a chapter of the nationwide American Airport Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and is made up of airports across the Southwest, including California, Hawaii, Arizona, Nevada, and more. SWAAAE's mission is to advance excellence in airport management through communication, professional development, and advocacy while serving members through partnership, mentorship, and innovation.
Angi joined the Santa Barbara Airport team in 2019 and currently serves as the Marketing Supervisor. In her role, she oversees SBA's air service development, advertising and partnerships, community programming, and all other marketing efforts. Over the past three years, Angi has become an active member in the SWAAAE community through a variety of committees. Her roles include serving on the Ethics Committee, Conference Committee, and as a Conference Moderator for both the annual winter and summer conferences. Angi will hold the seat of Southern California Director for two years.
In addition to Angi's seat on the Board of Directors, Airport Director Chris Hastert also serves as the chair of SWAAAE's Membership Committee. SBA's involvement in SWAAAE is an important part of their efforts to increase their presence among regional and national aviation organizations. SBA's involvement in both regional and national aviation organizations like SWAAAE provides more access to resources within the aviation network and increases SBA's presence among airports across North America.
