Hartsfield-Jackson Announces Appointment of Four Assistant General Managers

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) recently appointed four new senior leaders committed to optimizing operations, enhancing the customer experience, and advancing ATL’s commitment to business diversity.

 

“Each of our new assistant general managers bring expertise and a commitment to excellence in their respective roles,” said Airport General Manager Balram “B” Bheodari. “Their collective experience will elevate ATL’s operational efficiency and passenger experience, ensuring ATL remains a best-in-class gateway to the world.”

 

Steve Mayers oversees marketing, social media, customer communications, guest experience, ADA, and Title VI administration, volunteer and nonprofit programs, and team member development. With over 25 years of management and hospitality experience, Steve held leadership positions in companies such as Sandals Resorts, Wells Fargo, Radisson, and Best Western Hotels & Resorts. He holds the International Airport Professional (IAP) and Certified Member (CM) designations from Airports Council International (ACI) and the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) respectively and is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Civil Rights (OCR) award-winner. Steve earned his undergraduate degree from Temple University’s Fox School of Business and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University.

 

Candace Brown manages badging and credentialing, ATL Enforcement, access control, insider threat program and maintains a collaborative relationship with the Atlanta Police Department. With over 17 years of airport public safety, security, and program management experience, Candace holds the Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) and Airport Security Coordinator (ASC) designations from the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE.) She earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics with a double minor in Aviation Safety and Aviation Business and a Master of Science Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

 

Walter Vinson oversees the Airport’s local, state, and federal government affairs program, including legislative initiatives and monitoring legislation affecting the Airport. He is also responsible for promoting diversity, fostering talent, and enabling opportunities for minorities and women in the aviation industry. Walter manages state and federal contract lobbying firms and association relationships. With over 28 years of government relations experience, Walter earned the International Airport Professional (IAP) designation from Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Civil Aviation Organization. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Alcorn State University and a Master of Public Administration from Bowie State University.

 

Jordan Biegler leads the team ensuring safe, secure, and efficient aircraft and passenger operations. His responsibilities span operations, maintenance, and construction oversight across ATL’s Central Passenger Terminal Complex, five runways, and taxiway system. Prior to joining the Department of Aviation, Jordan spent over 10 years in operations, safety, security, and emergency management roles at Tampa International Airport. He is a Certified Emergency Manager through the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Florida and a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
