Spokane International Airport reopened its main Runway 3/21 Aug. 16, at 4 p.m. PDT. The Runway had been temporarily closed since Aug. 12 for routine maintenance of the runway surface, markings and electrical systems. The work was completed a day earlier than had been previously scheduled.
During the temporary closure, aircraft traffic used the airport’s alternate Runway 7/25, which is aligned east-west. Residents on Spokane’s South Hill may have noticed a change in the pattern of aircraft arrivals and departures.
