Two Die When Car Crashes Into Fuel Tank at Syracuse Airport

Syracuse, NY - Two people died early this morning when their vehicle crashed into a fuel tank at the Syracuse airport, according to Syracuse police.

Police said the crash happened about 4:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Malden Road which runs along the south side of Syracuse Hancock International Airport.

Both people in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police have blocked off the scene.

The fuel tanks are on airport property, said Sgt. Matt Malinowski, a spokesman for the Syracuse Police Department.
