Digital Signage Expo 2017 to Present 'Large-Format and Non-Standard Solutions for Digital Signage'
Digital Signage Expo (DSE) announced Dec. 13, that as part of its Digital Signage End Users Seminar Program at DSE 2017 designed specifically for End Users and applicable to any end user sector, will offer a session titled, “Large-Format and Non-Standard Solutions for Digital Signage.”
On March 29 at 9 a.m., Richard Ventura, vice president of business development and solutions for NEC Display Solutions, will moderate a panel discussion featuring:
- Bill McDonald, chief information officer of technology services for Metro Toronto Convention Centre
- John Coniglio, senior account manager for Westbury National Show Systems
- Michael Chatten, managing director for Untold Digital
Large-format and other non-standard sizes of digital signage often create design and user experience challenges. Discussion from the panel will center on how to approach these challenges and lessons learned from real-life installation examples of LCD video walls, LED video walls and projection systems. Attendees will learn:
- When LCD, LED or projection is the best option for an installation
- About challenges and methods faced in previous installations
- How to create a unified look and feel with multiple sizes of screens
“Before committing to a creative strategy, people should think first about what they want to achieve through the use of their digital signage and secondly, the opportunities large-format signs present that can drive new applications, said McDonald. “The biggest opportunity with digital signage is not to replicate static signage messages, but to create an engaging customer experience.”
