Tulsa Tech and Broken Arrow Chamber Open New Manufacturing Training Facility
BROKEN ARROW, OK – October 28, 2020 - The state of Oklahoma’s third largest manufacturing hub has a new space for students to learn the skills needed for Broken Arrow regional businesses. Tulsa Tech and the Broken Arrow Chamber officially opened the newly-remodeled manufacturing wing at the Broken Arrow Campus.
The area was part of the original Broken Arrow Campus built in 1983, and is now a shimmering 18,000 square foot facility open to train the next generation of manufacturing employees.
“The newly-renovated classrooms and labs for these programs are critical to our mission of Educating people for success in the workplace,” Dr. Steve Tiger, Tulsa Tech superintendent and CEO said. “Once completed, a world-class advanced manufacturing facility will create a hub for training, ensuring quality employees for industry partners throughout the region.”
The facility offers both high school and adult students the opportunity to train for multiple disciplines within the manufacturing industry. From machining to mechatronics, and soon welding, the Broken Arrow Campus will be the centerpiece for training in manufacturing careers for many years.
