Aviation Institute of Maintenance Announces Strategic Partnership with Piedmont Airlines
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (November 12, 2020) – Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) officially kick-starts their strategic education partnership with Piedmont Airlines, a regional airline operating for American Eagle. The partnership is the natural progression of an enduring relationship between the two, as Piedmont has been a frequent employer of AIM graduates. Current Piedmont employees can now benefit from industry-guided training provided by AIM.
Jeremiah Scarbrough, Regional Director of Operations, says, “We could not be more delighted to continue our symbiotic relationship with Piedmont Airlines. They have employed our graduates for years, and now we have the opportunity to help train their employees.” A wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group, Piedmont is headquartered in Maryland. For AIM and Piedmont, with locations that intersect along the East Coast, the partnership seeks to help close the gap in the predicted shortage of trained aircraft mechanics over the next two decades. “Piedmont is excited to partner with Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) to offer enhanced opportunities to our team members and future employees through the educational programming AIM provides,” said Bill Arndt, Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering. “As customers begin to return to the skies and flights increase, demand for skilled Airframe and Powerplant mechanics will only increase. This collaboration allows Piedmont team members an opportunity to build a solid career in aviation maintenance.”
If you’d like to learn more about this exciting partnership, please join us on Wednesday, November 18th at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel, 4201 Atlantic Avenue, for the official signing. The presentation and signing will begin at 4:30 pm.
