2020, A Great Year for Professional Instrument Courses
Despite the numerous challenges of this last year, Professional Instrument Courses, known internationally as PIC, has just closed out an eventful and successful year.
“PIC has successfully trained and had over 85 pilots pass their Instrument checkrides," said Donn Hekkilla, PIC President. “We are proud that we did this all in a safe and conscientious manner, with all of our clients and instructors staying healthy during the training,” said Donn.
PIC’s successful Instrument training system is designed to be time and cost effective. They have trained thousands of pilots since 1980. PIC sends an instructor, simulator, and syllabus out to a client’s location, saving the busy professional time and money. PIC uses a combination of ground school, simulator sessions, and aircraft, throughout the training. This year, PIC had many interesting pilots adding an Instrument Rating to their certificate, including a Pro golfer, 2 Pro race car drivers, many business owners, professionals, and aspiring career pilots.
“This past month of December has been very busy for us, said John Lampson, PIC Vice President/ Director of Training. With a total of 8 new instrument rated pilots trained by our instructor staff. We added two more instrument rated pilots just last week, both successfully passing their IFR check rides.”
With 2020 being such a success despite the challenges, PIC looks forward to successfully training more instrument rated pilots in 2021.
