AsBAA Announces New Board of Directors at Annual General Meeting 2017
AsBAA, the Asian region’s non-for-profit representative trade body for business aviation today announced its new Board of Directors, made up of the Chairperson and the Vice Chairperson. Ms. Jenny Lau, President, Sino Jet was elected as the new Chairperson of AsBAA with a majority vote. Phil Balmer, TAG Aviation, David Dixon, Jetcraft Asia and Gary Moran, AON Risk Solutions have been elected Vice-Chairmen. The announcement was made at the AsBAA Annual General Meeting 2017, held at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore. Around 100 AsBAA members were in attendance representing all sectors of business and general aviation.

Thanking the outgoing Board of Directors
Outgoing Chairman, Charlie Mularski and Vice-Chairmen David Best and Kevin Wu are stepping down from their leadership positions, handing over to the new Board of Directors with immediate effect. David Best and Kevin Wu will transition into Board of Governor positions to ensure consistency of leadership through this period. David Best will continue to manage AsBAA’s close ties with IBAC as a member of the governing board, while Kevin Wu will ensure continued development of AsBAA activities in mainland China.
Jenny Lau said “I am committed to continuing the good work of the previous Chairman and Vice-Chairmen. As a team, we will work with continued focus, connecting people and creating opportunities for the industry”. When speaking of the biggest challenge to the industry, Ms. Lau said, “Government liaison continues to be vital; we will create an action plan to ensure the industry message is heard through AsBAA”.
Charlie Mularski said, “In stepping down from AsBAA, the outgoing Vice-Chairmen and I feel absolute confidence in the new Board of Directors (BoD): Jenny Lau, David Dixon, Gary Moran and Phil Balmer. We have great representation across the region in this team, along with influence, experience and complete dedication to the development of business and general aviation in Asia. We will ensure the new BoD is fully supported in this transition period to ensure the ongoing interests of our members are fully represented”.
