Enhanced Website for GORE® Aerospace Ethernet Cables Launched
LANDENBERG, PA, November 19, 2015 – W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc. (Gore) has launched an enhanced website at gore.com/aerospace-ethernet-cables to provide easier access to product information and performance data. The site simplifies the design process by providing connector compatibility data along with cable termination instructions that enable visitors to evaluate the performance of their high-speed interconnects.
“We wanted to remove the guesswork around cable-connector selections, so we improved our site to make it easier for visitors to add high-speed Cat6a networks to their systems,” says Brian Tallman, product manager for Gore’s Military Aerospace Team. He adds, “The site helps customers take advantage of the electrical and mechanical benefits of our cable.”
On the site, visitors can access technical documentation and multimedia such as:
- Cable-Connector Compatibility — download electrical data for GORE® Aerospace Ethernet Cables connected to leading high-speed aerospace connectors.
- Cable-Connector Termination Instructions — download Gore’s best practices for terminating GORE®Aerospace Ethernet Cables with leading high-speed aerospace connectors.
- Selecting the Right Ethernet Cables to Increase High-Speed Data Transmission — read the latest white paper on the importance of selecting the right Ethernet cables to ensure reliable performance in challenging aerospace environments.
- Demonstration Video — watch a Gore application engineer display GORE® Aerospace Ethernet Cables connected to common avionic components, and demonstrate how easy it is to route the cables through existing airframe bulkheads.
GORE® Aerospace Ethernet Cables are engineered for the increasing data demands of modern airborne digital networks. They meet the military and civil aerospace markets’ emerging need for higher data rate cables that provide superior electrical performance in a lightweight, flexible, and routable package.
