Universal Avionics FlightAssure™ Program Proves Successful for Launch Regional Airline Customer
TUCSON, AZ – Universal Avionics completed its first full year of implementing its FlightAssure Extended Warranty Program with great success. The program proved to improve the customer’s extended budget planning process. Designed around a customer’s specific concerns and needs, FlightAssure helps contain costs and saves on the expense of a significant inventory investment.
For example, the company’s launch customer sought a solution that could be applied to all of the Universal Avionics equipment on each aircraft after placing numerous aircraft into operation. The goal of the program was to base cost on utilization, whereby reducing investment in spares.
“We work with customers to bill per flight hour, per aircraft,” said Robert Nierenhausen, Universal Avionics Customer Service and Warranty Manager. “The payment by the hour style plan best supports regional airline operations, especially when reducing the financial impact of short-term aircraft operations,” he added.
“FlightAssure offers customers a comprehensive support program that includes provisioning for spares based on aircraft utilization. More importantly, it provides them with peace of mind knowing the units are covered under warranty.”
