FreeFlight Systems Partners with Avidyne to Provide ADSB In with IFD Series
March 26, 2018 IRVING, Texas NextGen avionics leader FreeFlight Systems announced today that the company will provide their certified RANGR ADSB receivers to Avidyne customers. Avidyne will bundle an IFD system and a ADSB Out-capable Mode S transponder with FreeFlight Systems RANGRRX ADSB receiver to offer a complete ADSB solution. By combining the strength and reliability of the Avidyne series of Mode S transponders with FreeFlight Systems RANGRRX ADSB receiver, this avionics package will provide general aviation aircraft a complete and cost-effective way to equip with ADSB In and Out for the upcoming January 1, 2020 mandate.
The TSO-certified RANGRRX provides pilots with critical ADSB Flight Information Services Broadcast (FISB) and Traffic Information Services Broadcast (TISB) data, both modernizing the aircraft cockpit and drastically improving situational awareness. The RANGRRX offers clients an installed solution that provides inflight ADSB In information to multitude of preferred mobile EFB applications and installed multifunction displays like Avidyne’s IFD550/540/440 product line.

IFD clients can purchase an AXP340 or AXP322 Mode S transponder with ADSB Out and a RANGRRX for ADSB In at a bundled rate directly from Avidyne. The RANGRRX ADSB In product will be shipped and supported directly by FreeFlight Systems.
