March 29, 2018, Las Vegas, Nevada, AEA Trade Show… JETTECH, a leader in developing affordable aftermarket aircraft solutions, announced today it is offering a modification to the glare shield on Citation 500, 501, 550, 551, S550 and 560 series aircraft in order to accommodate a relocation of the annunciator panel to free up center panel space for additional avionics.
According to Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of JETTECH, the glare shield mod compliments the installation of the company's popular STC for the Garmin GTN 650/750 glass panel avionics suite upgrade. He said the glare shield modification work is done at their newly expanded Denver, Colo. facility located at the Rocky Mountain Executive Airport (KBJC).
"The resulting updated look to the glare shied is very pleasing the eye," Irwin explained. "The new positioning of the annunciator panel, in conjunction with the location of the thrust reverser and fire controls, provides increased instrument visibility at the horizon line-of-site."
In addition to the Citation 500 series glare shield mod and the GTN 650/750 upgrade, JETTECH provides an STC'd autopilot coupled LPV WAAS for the Citation CJs equipped with the ProLine 21 Integrated Avionics System. For early CJs, JETTECH’s STC covers the installation of Garmin GTN’s with coupled autopilot LPV WAAS capability.
